    Destress With Visualization Techniques And Music

    Visualization is the process of letting go of the chaos of the moment and focusing on seeing in your mind’s eye what you desire. When time and conditions allow, if you can do this for lengthy periods of more than 10 minutes so that you delve deeper into specifics of what you desire, that works best. Then when time and conditions aren’t so compatible to do this, you can quickly focus for a moment or so to gather your visualization thoughts together for quick fix. Thus overall, visualization can help you clear away mental stress fast, getting rid of tension and anxious thoughts.
    You can actually use visualization nearly any time. It can be used when you begin to feel stressed, to help stop your mind from racing or being scared or anxious, for example. Simply begin by taking a deep breath and relaxing your body; your eyes, shoulders, arms, torso and legs. And shrug aside any anxieties or other negative feelings and issues or intrusive thoughts.
    Then focus on something you can spot in your mind – something appealing like a nice scene, something beautiful and serene and safe with good smells – your favorite homemade cookies or meal or maybe your favorite flower scent.
    Control your own breathing now. Slow down racing activity within and take deep, slow breaths, exhaling all the bad, inhaling serenity.
    When you are calmer and feeling less stressed, reward yourself with compliments for having taken such positive control and action. Then move on to more positive activities in your day. As time allows later, maybe go back and look at what triggered your stress and write out possible solutions to avoid the issues or handle them better in case they come up again down the road.
    There are books on visualization and how to use it in your life. So head to the public library to check some out and learn more. And search online for articles to help, too.
    Another way to visualize is to put your thoughts and self to music. While you’re trying to calm yourself and take control, put on some upbeat tunes to help adjust your nerves and mental processing to music beats. Use not only favorite tunes, but ones that are upbeat and will help you be more positive and relaxed, not sad and forlorn as some pieces can do, calling to mind old memories of junk.
    As before, find a safe, quite environment to play your music and visualize. Then add some yoga to the mix while you concentrate and let your thoughts flow positively with the beat. You can also relax on a couch or in a recliner, too, and do the same thing. And also as before, toss out the negative, stress-inducing thoughts with the exhaling breaths while bringing to mind nice, happy, positive thoughts with the positive beats of music.
    You can also find many books on the topic of music and positive reinforcement techniques at the public library. And check for online articles, too.
    Practice good, positive de-stressing techniques and say. “Good bye!” to stress. Then share your good, positive thoughts and actions with others to sow what you’ve reaped!
